Medi@terra Kitchen:Levantine cooking from Lavrion to FrankfurtAn interactive real-virtual cooking project moves from Lavrion/Athens to Frankfurt. On the way there are stops in Sofia, Belgrade and Maribor and in each of the five locations the possiblities of making a sandwich either local or remote, real or virtual are explored in an different constellation. Local/real cooking changes with remote/real cooking and both are influenced by virtual/remote cooking (inserting ingredients into a data base).
Now in the last stop, the party is almost over. The big cooking has been done and the leftovers will be composed randomly of the data base
content into the last sandwiches.
After a far trip and a lot of switching between realities no one is sure anymore what is real and what is faked, remote and local mix up, as no one is anymore able to estimate distances.
Live eating action interferes with virtual fakes. You can't be sure, but when you try to compose a sandwich, maybe you can watch a person eating it live, somewhere in Europe...
